Who Is This For?

For professionals in work who want to apply AI and automation to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational effectiveness. You do not need to be a software developer. You do need a practical mindset and the chance to apply learning in real work.

Operations Managers

Improving workflows and reducing manual effort.

IT / Digital Support

Expanding into applied AI and automation delivery.

Project & Business Roles

Coordinators and analysts leading digital initiatives.

SME Leaders

Building internal capability without external dependency.

Existing Employees

No Upper Age Limit

This pathway is not only for school leavers or career starters.

This is not a software engineering apprenticeship and learners do not need to become programmers. It is designed for people who can understand business problems, work with people, evaluate technology, and use AI and automation to improve the way work gets done.

The tools used will evolve with the platforms and the needs of workplace projects.

What You'll Actually Do

You won't just learn about AI. You'll use it. Working on real organisational challenges, learners may follow a workplace-project journey like this:

Find & Understand

  • Identify a repetitive or inefficient business process.
  • Investigate whether AI or automation is appropriate.
  • Map the current process.
  • Understand user and stakeholder requirements.

Build & Test

  • Compare potential tools and approaches.
  • Build and test a prototype.
  • Gather feedback.
  • Consider governance, ethics, data protection, and security throughout the project.

Adopt & Improve

  • Deploy or improve the solution.
  • Train or support colleagues.
  • Measure the outcome.
  • Reflect and refine.

Find a worthwhile problem → understand it → build something → get people using it → prove whether it worked.
